We are delighted to announce that applications are now open for the 2023 Chinese Culture Summer Program. The face-to-face program this year will provide a series of well-knit lectures from July 31 to August 18. The registration day is July 28. The Program is all-English and thus has no requirement on the Chinese proficiency of applicants. Overseas and SISU students will be working together on the program towards a better understanding of China, Chinese culture and how it relates to the world.

As you are our cherished partner, we are happy to offer the following scholarships to your students. The quota places for each type of scholarship are as follows:

Scholarship A

Tuition-free and Accommodation-free

Quota place: 1

Scholarship B

Tuition-free

Quota Place: 1

*Students who receive Scholarship A don't need to pay the application fee and tuition fee, and we offer free on-campus accommodation (a bed in the twin room) for them.

*Students who receive Scholarship B don't need to pay the application fee and tuition fee, but they need to pay for the on-campus accommodation.

And we also welcome self-financed students to apply for our summer program.

Nomination

Partners are expected to send us the attached nomination form via chineseculture@shisu.edu.cn before May 28th, 2023.

Application

Partners are expected to complete the attached recommendation form and send it to each nominated applicant.

Nominated applicants should fill out the online application form and upload the recommendation form on the Website for Application: http://apply.shisu.edu.cn/ before June 1st, 2023. Applicants are welcome to contact us via oisa@shisu.edu.cn if they have any questions concerning the application.

Applicant Qualifications

The program is open to applicants of any academic background. No proficiency in the Chinese language is required but proficiency in English is a must.

Fees

For the self-financed applicants, the tuition fee will be 6000 RMB, and the on-campus accommodation fee will be:

90RMB per day for a bed in the twin room

170RMB per day for a single room
