Research Laboratory of Hybrid Nanomaterials and Environment – Fuman Faculty of Engineering

Environmental pollution caused by harmful and dangerous substances from various chemical industries, including textiles, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, food, and paint industries, is a significant issue attracting attention, especially from researchers. Given the detrimental effects of pollutants on water, air, soil resources, and human health, chemistry as a practical science is actively seeking solutions to reduce or eliminate these pollutants. In this context, hybrid materials have gained considerable attention...

The main objectives of the laboratory include:

1) Synthesis and characterization of organic-inorganic hybrid nanoadsorbents
2) Synthesis and characterization of organic-inorganic hybrid nanophotocatalysts
3) Modification of natural nanoadsorbents to enhance their adsorption capacity for pollutants
4) Modification of nanophotocatalysts to increase their efficiency in pollutant degradation under visible light
5) Use of synthesized and modified nanoadsorbents and nanophotocatalysts in the treatment of urban, agricultural, and industrial wastewater
6) Providing new solutions for the treatment of industrial wastewater
7) Providing new solutions for the treatment of urban and rural sewage
8) Conversion of hazardous environmental pollutants into less hazardous ones
