Most research in various scientific fields and academic disciplines relies on data analysis and processing. This type of research is interdisciplinary, involving engineering, computer science, mathematics, and the specific field of study. The focus is on using scientific methods, algorithms, and systems to extract knowledge from raw data. With the increasing volume and diversity of data, combined with the increasing computational power of processors, it has become possible to perform complex analyses, leading to the need for newer and faster algorithms and methods.

The Data Processing Laboratory was established to support the research goals of the Fuman Faculty of Engineering and to promote interdisciplinary sciences. The laboratory aims to provide solutions and approaches in data processing within the fields of engineering and computer sciences, offering solutions for research in other fields as well. In summary, the laboratory collaborates with engineers and researchers to achieve the following goals:

1) Developing the ability to predict future events and national requirements for upcoming years.
2) Analyzing various raw data to discover knowledge and extract relationships in response to the needs of new technologies such as smart cities, chatGPT, Metaverse, etc.
3) Collaborating with knowledge-based companies and researchers in fields such as economics, security, health, agriculture, environment, energy carriers, urban management, transportation, and social networks.
